Sorry, ich habe seinerzeit den Bericht nicht für so wichtig gehalten, dass ich mir die Quelle gemerkt oder gar den Link festgehalten hätte. Ich erinnere mich nur noch, dass ich darüber im Internet gelesen hatte, die Quelle - für mich jedenfalls - seriös erschien und dass ich noch dachte, wie blöde wohl derjenige sei, der den Schlag abgekriegt hatte, ein bisschen unangenehmes Kribbeln gleich so aufzubauschen. Hintergrund: Wenn wir uns in D aufhalten, hindern wir unsere Katzen zu deren eigenem Schutz mit einem Elektrozaun, ausgelegt für Kleintiere, am Ausbrechen aus dem Garten. Und natürlich bekommen wir hin und wieder eine "gewischt" - im Gegensatz übrigens zu den Katzen, die alle wissen, was los ist und nicht drangehen... ;o)

Also, die Mordanklage hat meine Fantasie dazu addiert; tatsächlich ging es um Entschädigung, aber "illegal" sei so ein elektrifizierter Zaun, heißt es in dem Artikel auf jeden Fall:

Dangerous electric fencing around Lentas house
A German resident in the Lentas area turned his home into a fortress by surrounding it with electric fencing. Unfortunately there were no signs to warn passers-by, causing an accident involving a Greek engineer who was measuring the neighbouring plot of land. The engineer tripped and caught hold of the wire to steady himself. As soon as he touched it, a strong electric charge threw him two metres away, knocking him out.
The horrified owner of the land, who was accompanying the engineer, called locals for help and informed the police. The latter found that the whole fence was electrified, an illegal practice which could have had fatal consequences if a small child or elderly person had touched it.
The electricity company cut the current to the fencing and the engineer is now suing for compensation.
The owner of the fortress-house says that the current was very low voltage and intended to keep animals out of the property, without being strong enough to kill a human.

What you call "an illegal practice" and might be unusual in Greece, is widely spread allover Europe: the fencing of a property with low voltage - normally to keep animals (cattle, horses, sheep) in. It would be much safer in this country if Greeks could adapt this habit too, or do you think it is funny if a grown-up bull suddenly is approaching you in the middle of nowhere - just because the owner of the animal was not able to build a proper fence? And I strongly assume that the engineer who touched the fence was exaggerating shamelessly to get a high compensation - a quite usual procedure in Greece.
Die Story mit dem Bullen (dem vierbeinigen) ist uns übrigens tatsächlich passiert.
