Wednesday, November 4 – It was announced this afternoon that the Greek Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, will address the nation and answer questions from journalists at 12:00 tomorrow, after discussing the situation in the country with his epidemiological experts today. It is expected that further measures will be confirmed, including a likely ban on travel between regions within the country.
Update: This evening, the Greek Minister of Health, stated that the country will be entering a complete lockdown for one month as the country’s epidemiological situation is deteriorating rapidly. The full details will be confirmed by the Prime Minister during his address tomorrow, but unconfirmed reports state that the lockdown will start as soon as this Friday.

Thursday, November 5 – The Greek Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, has announced a full lockdown throughout Greece for a period of three weeks starting this Saturday, November 7, at 06:00 until November 30.
The restrictions will be mostly the same as the March lockdown, including confirming the reason for trips outside the home, via SMS or completed form, with the exceptions that junior schools and kindergartens will remain open and the wearing of a mask outside the home will be mandatory. However, senior schools will remain closed and will function via distance learning. All retail stores will close (except for essential services) and travel between regions will be banned. Further details will be confirmed throughout the day.

Nun ist es so weit. Wir sind im Lockdown bis einschl. Montag den 30. November.
Die SMS an die 13033 kann man nur über eine griechische Handy-Karte absenden und das gilt auch für die APP.

Der Lockdown wird voraussichtlich bis 10. Dezember verlängert mit strengeren Reise- und Bewegungsregeln. Außerdem sollen die Schulen geschlossen werden. Näheres will Kyriakos Mitsotakis am Freitag13.11. Abend um 18:00 Uhr verkünden.
